Overview

VERICUT Verification

VERICUT is a 3D solids-based software program that interactively simulates the material removal process of an NC program. The program depicts multi-axis milling/drilling as well as multi-axis turning and combination mill/turn machining. It enables you to verify the accuracy and quality of your NC program. Inefficient motion or programming errors that could potentially ruin a part, damage the fixture, or break the cutting tool can be corrected before the program is run on an CNC machine tool.

CNC Machine Simulation

VERICUT shows material removal at the workpiece level, but can also simulate entire machine tools as they appear on a shop floor. Machine Simulation detects collisions and near-misses between all machine tool components such as axis slides, heads, turrets, rotary tables, spindles, tool changers, fixtures, work pieces, cutting tools, and other user-defined objects. A user can set up near-miss zones around the components to check for close calls, and detect over-travel errors.

OptiPath Optimisation

VERICUT is equipped with NC program optimisation capabilities. Based on initial programmed feed rates, VERICUT automatically determines the optimum safe feed rate for each cut. Cycle time can be reduced significantly. Optimised feed rates also result in longer cutting tool life, fewer broken cutting tools and scrapped parts, better quality parts due to minimized cutter deflection, and a better finish on part surfaces and edges due to constant tool pressure.

AUTO-DIFF™

AUTO-DIFF™ enables you to compare a CAD design model to a VERICUT simulation automatically detect differences. Using this module, anyone involved in the production process can identify incorrectly machined areas. AUTO-DIFF is also used to detect a possible weakness or mistake in the design.

Multi-Axis

As machining complexity increases, so does the chance for error. NC programming instructions for multi-axis milling also generally have close tolerance requirements for profiles and surfaces. These factors increase the importance of verifying the NC program.

VERICUT Reviewer

The VERICUT Reviewer incorporates all the functionality of NC Review mode in a stand-alone viewer that does not use a license. The Reviewer can play forward and backward while removing and replacing material. You can rotate, pan and zoom just like normal VERICUT, and the cut stock can be measured using all the standard X-caliper tools. The “Reviewer” file can be saved at any point in a VERICUT session.

CAM Interfaces

The interfaces tightly integrate VERICUT and your CAM system(s) to help you create the most accurate and efficient NC programs possible! They make verifying and optimising NC programs and simulating CNC machines a much easier and more efficient process.

VERICUT includes the ability to use several industry-standard model file formats: STL, IGES, VDA-FS, and DXF. Additionally, the following optional model interface modules allow VERICUT to use formats: STEP, ACIS, CATIA V4, and CATIA V5. Also, NX .prt part files can be opened directly in VERICUT.
